Degembris Cottages
We are The Elfords (Andy, Hannah, Nicholas & Tegen) and we moved to Degembris in February 2009. Andy was previously a mechanic and I was a primary school teacher but when the opportunity arose to come back to Degembris and raise our children here, (having grown up a Degembris myself) it was an easy choice. Fortunately one that Andy was in total agreement with! Glorious countryside and so much space, a beautiful family home. We took over the family business from my parents, Roger and Kathy Woodley. They had been running the Bed & Breakfast from the farmhouse since 1972 and started to convert the barns into holiday cottages in 2004, completing them in 2008. We love welcoming guests to our 'little corner of Cornwall' and sharing a part of our family history. Our roots go back a long way and we are very proud of the fact that Degembris has been in the Woodley family for so long, tenants from 1893 and then owners from 1915 until the present day.
