Great location & friendly staff!

Lovely, friendly service! Huge room with en suite (including bath) and wonderful views of Lindisfarne Castle & the island. Ringtons tea & biscuits on offer in the rooms, and very comfortable beds. Hotel is right next to the Priory, has parking, outdoor seating to enjoy any good weather, and a great selection of food. For the price of the room this was really outstanding value all round. A comfortable, quiet, relaxing winter retreat on beautiful Holy Island

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel previously. We opted for our favourite room 3 which is a spacious corner room overlooking both Lindisfarne Priory and the harbour. The staff were welcoming and friendly and ensured that we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Nothing is too much trouble. The bar is well stocked with an attractive comfortable seating area. Food is served in either the small restaurant of the lounge bar area. We dined in both enjoying some good food freshly prepared by the chef. Read more

Room 3 is a delightful spacious room with a very comfortable super king size bed. The food was well prepared and served nice and hot. The staff were attentive, very helpful and friendly.
Dislikes?
The bathroom in room 3 was cold despite the large heated towel rail. The menu could have had a wider selection of dishes.

Fantastic relaxing break

From minute 1 we were impressed by the friendly welcoming staff who couldn't do enough for you. The dulux room we stayed in was excellent large comfy bed spotlesly clean and the views of the castle and sea was stunning. And an added bonus is the hotel is right next to the priory and a stones rhrow away from the village centre. The food was excellent and breakfast was an all you can eat cold buffet with a substantial cooked option. Read more

With the hotel being a veryear old buidling it does take quite a while for the hot water to work it's way through the pipes to the shower or sink, so add an extra minute or two to your morning showe

Great apart from the power cut

Very comfortable, friendly, evening meal good, power cut spoilt first breakfast, 2nd scrambled eggs tasteless. Power cut meant no water either, staff rustled up takeaway Chinese in lieu of evening meal at the earliest opportunity - very welcome. Read more

Couldn't believe the hotel didn't have it's own generator, particularly when water goes off as well! Badly marked wallpaper beside my table in dining room.

Interesting overnight stay

Wanted to stay overnight on Holy Island rather than just a few hours. Hotel was perfectly adequate for our needs, though not luxurious.
Hotel in perfect position on island though room at the back which we were in (7) was looking over backs of cottages and sea view would have been better with binoculars! Perhaps another time it would be worth paying extra and having bigger room and better view.
Dinner in bar was excellent as was breakfast in dining room. Read more

The owners of the hotel must be relying on its remarkable location for business.
