The stable block has been sympathetically converted into four letting rooms. Bodger’s Den, Dumbledore Garden Room, Mus Reynold’s Parlour and Flindermouse Loft all offer a charming refuge to weary travellers. The pub recently re-opened after two years closure, following an extensive refurbishment and is now under the stewardship of Dominic McCartan & Tony Leonard, who also run the award-winning Snowdrop Inn in Lewes. We have a large pub garden, home to Bramble & Primrose our pet micro-pigs and some happy hens. The stable block has been sympathetically converted into four letting rooms, Bodger’s Den, Dumbledore Garden Room, Mus Reynold’s Parlour and Flindermouse Loft all offer a charming refuge to weary travellers and the perfect base for Sussex visitors alike, and all have en-suite facilities and separate entry from the pub. Booking includes a substantial home-cooked Sussex-sourced breakfast to set you up for the day ahead. All dietary requirements can be catered for with advance notice. The village of Laughton is an ideal base from which to explore Sussex. Local attractions include Glyndebourne Opera House, Charleston Farmhouse, home to the Bloomsbury set, Marchants Hardy Plants Nursery & Garden, Laughton Showground, Bentley Wildfowl & Motor Museum, the historic county town of Lewes with its famous castle, the Lavender Line Steam Railway, Michelham Priory, and the chalk cliffs of Beachy Head. delightful walks, cycle rides and horse treks through woodland and over Downs are within easy reach, or for the really adventurous, the most popular paragliding school in the UK offers opportunities to experience views of the local countryside like no others.
