Sanborn Guest House Information
Description
Sanborn Guest House has two guest units providing Hollywood charm and comfort: a guest suite and a guest room. Both have its own private bath, wifi, TV, ceiling fan, queen size bed, it’s own entrance, and parking. Both share and have access to the shared guest kitchen. The guest suite also has a sitting and living room. Smoking is not allowed inside Sanborn Guest house. We do hope that you will enjoy your smoke on the porches or the grounds of the Sanborn Guest house. We require 2 nights’ minimum stay. Driving from LAX
Ask your car rental agent for directions to the I-105.
- From LAX get to the I-105 going East
- Transfer to the CA-110 going North
- After going through downtown LA, transfer to the CA-101 going North toward Hollywood
- Go <1 mile, and take the RAMPART BLVD exit. Turn Left at end of the off-ramp, then Turn Right onto N Rampart Blvd.
- Turn Left onto Sunset Blvd.
- Go about 1 mile then Turn Left onto Sanborn Ave.
- Go 1 block, Sanborn House will be on the right corner of Sanborn Ave. and Del Mar

Public Transportation
1. Door-to-door: From the airport, you can take one of the blue vans called SuperShuttle to our guest house and costs approximately $35 – $42 (please visit their website at http://www.supershuttle.com or call 800-258-3826 for current fares, schedules, and system information). Next, you can take a taxi cab and may cost between $60 to $75.
2. FlyAway Service: FlyAway service between LAX and LA’s Union Station & Hollywood is only $8 one-way and $16 round-trip per person. From Union Station you can take the Metro Red Line to Sanborn House (see above); or by taxi, and the cab fare from Union Station to Sanborn House should be around $15 to $17 dollars. 3. Subway: For about $1.75 you can take the LA Metro Rail. You’ll need to take the free Metro shuttle at the airport that will bring you to the Aviation Metro Station on the Green Line. There, you will catch a green line train going east to Norwalk. You will then transfer to the blue line at the Imperial/Wilmington/Rosa Parks Station heading north to downtown LA. Get off at the Seventh Street Station and transfer to the red line heading towards Hollywood and San Fernando Valley. You will get off at the Vermont/Santa Monica/LA City College Station. Once here, you are about 20 to 25 minutes walk to Sanborn House. If you have luggage, you can either, hop on bus No. 4 (Direction: Downtown) or No. 704 (Direction: Union Station) heading east on Santa Monica Blvd.and get off at the Sunset Blvd/Sanborn Ave. but stop and walk one block south on Sanborn Ave towards Del Mar Ave.; or, you can take a cab from the metro stop.
