Wonderful!

i was alone and felt very welcomed by staff. stayed in the really large twin room which was clean and comfortable. it had a separate door which eased leaving and i love the large mirror! breakfast was very yummy with quick and attentive service. the coffee refills were endless!!! Was also allowed to leave my bag whilst i went to the open day which was good as it was very heavy. location is truly amazing; looking right out over the pie, i will defo be back! Read more

Hi
Thanks for positive comments
Our apologies for the internet situation in room 20..we have fibre optic broadband coming into the hotel at a high level and
our commercial guests comment that it is as good as any city hotel. There is an issue in this one room which is more remote and supplied by a wireless amplifier
which is currently underperforming...

Hi
We are glad you enjoyed the hotel
We do have a limited car pass agreement with the car park and offer the facility to guests staying for more than one night. The overnight charge of £1.50 from 5am to 9pm ( 10pm at the weekend) does not seem unreasonable for
our guests who are staying one night as you were...sorry you found it unsatisfactory

Likes?
Nice room view over the harbour and Rick Stein's restaurant. Comfy beds. Fairly quiet (though there is a road outside so some small traffic noise). Warm rooms and good TV reception.
Dislikes?
Car parking was difficult. There is a public car park opposite, but it gets expensive for long stays. Perhaps the hotel could negotiate a parking pass for residents with the council?

I love the atmosphere of this hotel. We have stayed at the Grove hotel twice visiting our son at Falmouth university. It is always friendly and relaxed. Hi
Great to have you stay...noted about back part of dining room...if the sun is beating down through the front windows ( not always that common!! ) then it can get a little hot when the main dining room is crowded..we ll do something about it!! Geoff

Thank you for positive review.
The weekend of the royal wedding was always going to be problematic noisewise. Your room has working wooden shutters and extremely thick soundproofing curtains, I wonder if you utilised these?
The light bulb situation was poor and I apologise as the room attendants are meant to check these matters. However a quick word as soon as you noticed would have prompted immediate action rather than leaving it for three days.

We did have Muesli available daily within our selection of six cereals during your stay
