We could not fault the hotel. When we arrived friendly and helpful staff and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. Courtesy phone call on the day brilliant. When Luke called to ask if we wanted to upgrade our room for a small cost were really pleased as it was also my birthday. The guy on reception and bar was fantastic, very friendly and helpful. Room was ok, bathroom very small, bed comfortable. Towel shredded at both ends, minor criticism but bit surprising. A perfect weekend in the best Boutique hotel in the area

We wanted to celebrate our wedding anniversary and have always enjoyed Brighton as destination for fun and good food. Having stayed at a number of good boutique style hotels in the area of Kemptown and Hove we are always on the lookout for new places to try. We booked an Art Deco themed rooms called 'Legacia' which was just as we imagined, freshly decorated and adorned with original period furniture and art - Beautiful ! Staff service and breakfast were excellent.
Common areas nicely decorated, but bedroom was dark and dim.
Bedroom was very small, no space to put anything. Wifi was slow. Annoying banging from a door outside rorom. Few accessible standard electrical sockets for recharging equipment.
Bathroom also small, sink too close to door for comfort. No space for toiletries, contact less etc. Bath difficult to get in and out and also reported a fault with dripping very hot water.

Friendly Staff & Comfortable Riom

Very good stay. Hard work getting to the top of the house but worth it. Enjoyed the breakfast but too heavy on eggs - frittata not needed with two fried eggs. Service very slow in the Saturday. Good service on the other mornings.
The biscuits are brilliant. So was the coffee at breakfast and in the room.
Lovely staff - really know the meaning of hospitality.

Many thanks for your review. I have tried to contact you and left you a message. I am sorry to hear that were disturbed by noise. This was not from the pub who ensure the garden is cleared by 11:30pm but from a private party being held locally and as such there was nothing we could do to prevent this. The main door to the four rooms very noisy compared to the Alice room which i stayed in before as it was a few steps away from each room door. It did keep waking me up, so not as peaceful as previous.

Great weekend, beautiful hotel

Myself and two friends stayed for a weekend. The hotel were really helpful before we arrived with advice on parking. When we arrived we had a lovely friendly welcome, the rooms were stunning, all individual with everything we needed. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and it was the little touches that made it so special, like the delicious homemade lemon curd. The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and the fabulous Mojitos. Read more

Fabulous anniversary weekend spent at Blanch House

We stayed in the Legagia room which was decorated in an Art Deco style and was beautiful. The room was very clean and I especially loved the large roll top bath. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we met one of the owners Kerry who was charming and very welcoming. The breakfast choice was huge and delicious on both the days we stayed. After a bit of research to find a small unique hotel, we decided to try Blanch House for our one night in Brighton, thinking we could endure one night anywhere. When morning came, we didn't want to leave! What a delightful surprise the hotel was.

The room was lovely and bed large and comfortable. As we have found all through the UK bathrooms are very small and no air conditioning. It was a very hot 10 days when we were there. Easily our favourite accommodation in Brighton

We enjoyed 2 nights staying at Blanch House for our anniversary in late March 2014.

I've been a regular visitor to Brighton for a while - I lived there for over 10 years and since then I've stayed in many hotels and guest houses to come back and catch up with folk, and more recently staying with my girlfriend.

Since we discovered Blanch House for ourselves 2 years back, I'm confident in saying it's the best accommodation I've/we've stayed in across Brighton & Hove. Read more

Very good but could easily be excellent

Good location for bars & shops etc. Double yellow in front so can drop off bags before find parking space. But, it lets itself down on the little things that if tweaked slightly would take it to 5 star. Missing a towel ring for hand towel and no shelving in bathroom. Teabags not replenished on day two, only 1 cup of tea & coffee each for the entire stay. Poor lighting above dressing table. Poor wardrobe / hanging space. Remove flashy furniture & make more user friendly. Read more

Simply delightful....

We were staying in Brighton just one night for a concert and chose Blanch House because it looked just what we like in a good Bed and Breakfast. It was close enough to walk to the venue and close enough to walk to the restarants for a nice meal... We had a nightmare journey down from London... friday afternoon traffic is always bad... theres was no problem parking as they offer a voucher to park, we parked 2 minutes away. Read more

Simply fantastic.

We stayed overnight while visiting a friend who recently moved to Brighton. We hadn't realised that over the long weekend (Jubilee weekend) most places in Brighton enforced a strict minimum of 2, 3 or 4 night stay. Not Blanch House, though!
We checked in in the afternoon after arriving late (the staff were incredibly understanding about our delay), were shown to our room, and - oh - the delight. The room was relaxing, luxurious and clean. Read more

Friendly, professional, stylish little hotel

We arrived Saturday to run the Brighton marathon Sunday. We were provided with an excellent continental breakfast without asking to ensure we had eaten before leaving the hotel (earlier than formal breakfast started). Location for the marathon is perfect being close to the finish and an easy walk to start. We enjoyed a champagne celebration after the event (again unexpected) and felt thoroughly spoiled.
