1840 Guest House B&B Merrickville Information
Description
5 suites. 3 bedrooms in main house and two suites in adjacent guest house. Guest house suites have kitchenettes. All rooms have private ensuite bathrooms. Air conditioned. Crave, HBO, NETFLIX and other movie channels available. High quality linens, gourmet breakfasts, free WIFI and off-street parking. Pets are not permitted. Balconies and patios. Living room and dining room in heritage (but fully renovated) schoolhouse for your enjoyment. Complimentary beverage bar with coffee, tea, ice and juices. Outdoor heated pool (seasonal), hot tub, sauna, and pool table in the schoolhouse. Wine and Scotch bar, with select appetizers, gourmet charcuterie and cheese boards.
Carolyn and John are the proud owners of the 1840 Guest House B&B located in historical Merrickville, Ontario. We strive to ensure our guests have a tranquil, comfortable and relaxing stay. Wheelchair Accessible Suite (Room #5): We have one (1) ground floor accessible suite (Room #5) with wheelchair accessories (i.e. 36" doors, low tub, high sink and grab bars). There is free, accessible parking beside the ground floor suite. Suite is large (600 square feet) with open concept layout for ease of maneuverability and queen size bed. Second Storey Accommodations: We have four (4) second storey rooms. The stairs have a landing to provide a rest area while negotiating the stairs. (8 steps, a landing and 8 more steps). The stair landing rest area makes the stairs more accessible for guests. Free private parking at B&B.

Road from Ottawa (75.0 miles)
From Ottawa to Merrickville drive West on Ottawa Queensway and take Highway # 416 South off ramp, drive 25 minutes south and exit on Highway # 43 West (Merrickville off ramp) then drive west 20 minutes until you arrive in Merrickville. Highway # 43 becomes Main Street East. Drive straight through the flashing light onto Main Street West and arrive at 1840 Guest House B&B at 223 Main Street West on the right.
