After vacationing in the Apostle Islands and Bayfield for 21 years, we felt some day we wanted to live here. We love sea kayaking and camping on the islands, sailing, the beautiful beaches, Big Top Chautauqua, the orchards, berry & vegetable farms, and fresh fish. Of course there are many other things to love here and Bayfield is a charming small town. So, on June 3, 2013, we became the new owners of Artesian House. This contemporary Bed & Breakfast was designed by a Madison architect and welcomed its first guests June 14, 1996 and we welcomed our first guests June 14, 2013. We take pleasure in hosting guests to this beautiful area and wish everyone a 'Superior' experience. Dennis is a Civil Engineer and an MBA and Certified as a Woodland Steward and a Naturalist. Christine is a BSMT and worked in a hospital labs, account management and sales for national clinical reference laboratories. Christine & Dennis are active in the local community. We volunteer at Big Top Chautauqua, support Friends of the Apostle Islands, other local causes, and Dennis is on several local boards.
