Buck Run Cabin - Buck Run Cabin Information

Description

This unique cabin is situated at the end of a mile and a half country lane which meanders through a beautiful hardwood forest. It is a standalone cabin located on 215 private acres and features 2 ponds, walking trails and multiple open spaces which have been intensely managed to benefit the area wildlife. This is an ideal destination for the eco tourist or photo hunter. You can expect to see wildlife such as whitetail deer, eastern turkey, red fox, grey fox, coyote, great horned owl, barred owl, eastern box turtle, every song bird native to the region, woodpeckers such as the palliated woodpecker which is Ohio’s largest and one of the most colorful. If you are lucky you might even catch a glimpse or hear the screech of a bobcat. The owner has seen one of these creatures on 2 different occasions and occasionally hears them after sunset. If you are more into the flora than the fauna you will also appreciate Buck Run for the variety of trees located on the property such as dogwood, wild cherry, beech, white oak, red oak, tulip poplar, persimmon and several varieties of pine. Another interesting feature to this property is a pre-civil war cemetery known as The United Olive Branch United Methodist Cemetery with headstones dating back to the early 1800’s and is still being maintained to this day. The owner has shared this wonderful property for just family and friends for almost a quarter century but has recently decided to open it up public. The cabin itself is tucked away in a large stand of white pines it is approximately 900 square and will sleep up to 6 people. It was completely renovated in 2014 and features 2 bedrooms, one full bath, a great room, kitchen with eating area, satellite, dvd, a covered porch and of course a hot tub.
