Bearslake Inn Information

Description

Welcome to Bearslake Inn, a traditional thatched 13th Century, grade two listed pub with a renowned restaurant & quality accommodation in the stunning Dartmoor National Park. Bearslake Inn is situated in the hamlet of Lake in the picturesque North West corner of Dartmoor National Park , located a short distance between the market towns of Tavistock & Okehampton on the A386, just a couple of minutes from the A30 border of Devon & Cornwall. We have six, large, individually designed rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms. Every room contains a King size bed with three of our six guest rooms having additional beds suitable for larger parties & families. Four of our rooms are fully dog-friendly & we delight in making your four legged friend feel as equally pampered as their owners during their stay. Please make sure to let us know the size of your doggy companion & their name if you require a special doggy hamper for your room. If however it is additional small human sleeping arrangements that are needed then please speak to a member of our team directly as we do have a travel cot at our disposal. A stay at Bearslake benefits from plenty of parking & easy reach to the main roads. With this in mind we are, however, set in gloriously remote walking country & surrounded by stunning views to the rugged heights of the local Moors & Tors. The magnificent Sourton Tor, Corn Ridge & Great Links Tor are all just in short walking distance along the Granite Way that runs behind our pub. Or if other countryside pursuits are more to your liking we can always advise on local shoots, fishing, cycling routes or many more. Our chefs use the best seasonal produce from the West Country & we always try to champion local producers where ever possible. This is most noticeable on our bar where local real ales & South West gins are the order of the day.
