Blue Lake House Information

Description

Blue Lake House is a comfortable and cosy villa offering three bedrooms—two single bedrooms, one en suite double bedroom, and a sofa bed—accommodating up to eight people. Three bathrooms with showers, one with a massage shower, and one with a bathtub and shower are provided, along with towels and a hairdryer. The house has heating and cooling units in all rooms. The living room offers a large dining table, a rustic fireplace, a flat-screen cable TV, Netflix, HBO Max, and Amazon Prime Video, high-speed Wi-Fi, a Bluetooth music player, a vintage Hi-Fi system, a CD/DVD player, a Playstation 3, and social games to liven up your evenings. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, an induction hob, a stove, a microwave, a dishwasher, a coffee machine, a toaster, a blender, a juice squeezer, and an electric kettle. The generous balcony offers you a magnificent view over the lake, a large table for dining outdoors, a large awning, a sun lounger, a BBQ coal grill, and plenty of magic on full moon nights. Downstairs, you can unwind in our traditional Finnish Sauna, take a dip in the saltwater pool, relax on the sun deck, or work out in our well-equipped gym with a high-quality rowing machine, a TRX kit, a heavyweight punching bag, and a set of weights. Outside, there is also a balcony overlooking the lake and a rocking chair to rest in after a relaxing sauna.

Blue Lake House

Thank you for your interest in Blue Lake House. This lovely house overlooking the lake of Castelo de Bode was built in 1986 by Mr. Cristovão and his wife. The house is situated just above the old village of Castanheira which was submerged by the dam built in the 1950s. In 2017, we were fortunate enough to acquire the property, and soon afterwards, we began the renovation and enhancement works of the entire space with the idea of providing those who visit us with unforgettable memories of this little-known paradise in Portugal. And so it is that, since 2020, we have loved to share this place that is so special to our family and friends with all people who value nature, tranquility, and water sports. The lovely Blue Lake House, being exactly in the middle of the 60-kilometer-long Castelo de Bode Lake, is an excellent starting point to explore the whole region around this beautiful lake.
