Brumder Mansion B&B Information

Description

The Brumder Mansion has a lot of its original artistic decor, crafted by 1910 German artisans. There are two sets of pocket doors with beveled glass, stained glass windows, beautifully carved staircase and carved embellishments along the top of all the original fireplaces on the first floor. Each fireplace is different. The parlor fireplace has a marble mantle with marble slabs in the front of the hearth. The dining room fireplace is the fanciest one in the mansion. On its huge mantle, it has both hand-carved intrinsic wood decoration and a gorgeous Tiffany ceramic tile mosaic of a Rose of Sharon bush, created by Prairie Style artist, George Mann Niedecken, who also did the stained-glass windows in the parlor and the staircase. The second-floor landing, is treat and drink central. We offer wine, and cookies, and have a fridge with offerings of water, soda and beer. We also have an extensive DVD collection, that guests can watch in their suites and rooms. The rooms have pleasing additions and amenities to make our guest stay wonderful, relaxing one. All rooms have warm robes, soap and bath salts, and candles. Four rooms out of our five rooms have in-suite whirlpools and separate marble showers. We offer a wonderful breakfast, and will offer alternate options for allergies, diets or food concerns. There’s a beautiful theatre in our basement that seats 50. Milwaukee Entertainment Group is the main production company of our stage and presents a wide variety of shows. Guests of the Brumder are welcome to attend these productions (at an additional cost) if their stay coincides with their performance schedule. The Brumder Mansion Bed and Breakfast is popular with Honeymoon couples and people celebrating anniversaries. We also love families. The spaces inside this beautiful mansion are very versatile; great fit for both small and large events of all kinds.

When we were on a road trip with the purpose of gathering pictures for our websites, we stayed here in 2007. We had always thought about buying a Victorian mansion but had never found one that was just right for us. It had the addition of also being an Arts and Crafts structure, as well as being Victorian which was the cherry on top. Not only did it have all its art treasures, in reasonable shape, had lots of beautiful oak everywhere, and was historically beautiful, but it also had a theatre space in the basement. We fell in love with this unique place, we bought this beauty almost on the spot. As owners of this glorious place, we love sharing our beautiful home with guests who stay in our lovely rooms and the folks who enjoy the plays presented on theater as well. Other clients and other theater companies hold their special social events/productions here in this versatile space. We want our guests to have a good time in our home, and do our best to see to it that they do. We love being the hosts and also have an accomplished staff who are a great supportive team with this main goal of providing the best atmosphere and experience for all guests and patrons.
