Carlton Court Information


Situated on a tree-lined avenue, this elegant Victorian villa is a short walk to the beach, harbour and town centre. It has free Wi-Fi and free private parking. Carlton Court mixes original charm with modern comforts. It offers 5-star guest accommodation. The rooms have luxury beds, bathrobes, Freeview flat-screen TV’s, as well as a mini-fridge with free mineral water and fresh milk. A wide range of breakfast choices, including house specialities are available from 08:30 to 09:30 (earlier breakfasts are available on request). Carlton Court is 700 metres from the Riviera International Conference Centre, Torre Abbey and the sports centre, with its indoor swimming pools.

We have one suite on the ground floor which is more suited to people with mobility issues, if they are unable to manage stairs. However, we are unable to cater for guests with disabilities or special needs.

  • Road from M5 Junction 30 (25.0 miles)
    If coming from the north or south east, from Junction 30 on the M5, it takes just over half an hour for the 25 mile drive, coming along the A380. From here you will join Riviera Way, past Currys, B&Q and Asda, and past the traffic lights, you will see Torre station, and turn right at those traffic lights onto Avenue Road, sign posted towards The Harbour and Paignton. Then turn left onto Cleveland Road, and about a third of a mile on the right, is Carlton Court.
  • Road from South West (45.0 miles)
    If coming from the south west, it takes an hour from Plymouth to cover the 45 miles, Along the A38, then A385, and eventually the coast road A3022 into Torquay. Turn left at Belgrave Road, and in half a mile, turn left onto Mill Lane. Then turn immediately right onto Cleveland Road and we are a couple of hundred yards on the left.
