Guests can enjoy the four star comforts of our purpose built bungalow with its wet room ensuites, geothermal heating, solar powered hot water and covered porches. They can also avail of the barbecue to cook the fish they catch in the River Cloon (which is merely a two minute walk across a field) with the fishing rods supplied or cook local sourced meat and vegetables from artisan producers. Relaxing in our large sitting-room watching the sun setting to the west or watching their favorite programs on our plasma TV, stargaze up on the hill where there is zero light pollution, or listen to the cuckoo and observe the roaming deer.
Frances and Paul have been described as excellent hosts, whether its Frances delicious homemade brown bread or Pauls detailed local historical knowledge nothing is too much trouble. Huge effort was put into the design and construction of the property as is was done whilst Paul was doing his four year degree in furniture design. Paul and Frances embrace the traditional skills of the West of Ireland be it stone wall building, turf cutting or soda bread baking. In close proximity to the accommodation is the Iron smelting furnace (circa. 1738) which Paul is passionate about and is his long term project of renovating and informing the public about.
