Kilmokea Country Manor Information

Description

Kilmokea welcomes you as you drive up the avenue to the sound of song birds. As you are welcomed to your room we explain where to find the indoor heated pool for a leisurely swim and show you the Gardens to enjoy a stroll. Whatever you decide to do, you are at Kilmokea to relax and enjoy the peace. Awake each morning to a deliciously fresh breakfast of locally sourced fare. Make the most of the magnificent gardens that span seven acres of stunning woodland where peacocks strut by the Italian loggia, paths and bridges leading past a trout lake and you can watch coastal birds swoop over the estuary. As well as a Jacuzzi & sauna, there is a gym & tennis court for those looking to keep active. Emma is an Holistic Aromatherapist and offers full and back Aromatherapy treatments to guests staying at Kilmokea. Bedrooms in the main house are in relaxed good taste: thick carpets, lovely beds, smart antiques, delicate fabrics to match their floral names. The rooms in the converted courtyard suite are simpler but just as inviting. Here you may request for your Small, non shed dogs to stay in our 'Cherry' or 'Hellebore' rooms @€10 per dog per night. Dog box essential. Our self catering options are available all year around and our outdoor leisure facilities remain open for our guests to enjoy.

Welcome to our home, Kilmokea Country Manor Co Wexford. We open our house to guests because we like looking after people. We do it with with care and consideration offering guests a life of simple pleasures. Good Organic food. Comfortable rooms. Gardens with a very special feel to them. Aromatherapy treatments for total relaxation and the pleasures of our indoor heated pool, Jacuzzi, Sauna & Gym together with our tennis court, Croquet lawn & sun terrace. We are an energetic family of five who enjoy tennis, running and having fun. Our three boys are mad about athletics and all now run faster than us, winning all Ireland medals for middle distance and throwing the Javelin. We love animals and our retired Mare Jackie, Dogs Penny & Poppy and flock of Pekin hens are all important members of the family. When we first visited this amazing place nearly twenty years ago we were so excited as we entered the wall gardens through the Peter Rabbit tool shed. A secret garden unfolded as we were lead around the relaxed formality of this garden and then taken across a small country road to view the woodland garden packed with Rhododendrons & Camellias.
