Hi, we are Speyside Cottages James relocated to Dufftown, Speyside attracted by the fresh air, open landscape and tremendous dog walks he and Dave (Sprocker, man’s best friend!) could enjoy. It wasn't long before Louise joined him, we love to travel ourselves finding memorable accommodation and local discoveries. We want to share these elements from our region with others. By refurbishing old properties we know it inside & out, James loves the practical work and we know it’s built to last for many years to come. Creating homes each with a delight factor is key – These are homes we would love to stay in ourselves & want to share with others. We found Couthy Harbour House in a sorry state for itself in late 2019, having been left empty and unloved for some time, it was originally built-in 1848 as you will see from the stonework outside. During 2020, with a great team we were able to give it the TLC it needed to bring it back to its former glory and more. Couthy is a Scottish term meaning cosy, welcoming and comfortable. We look forward to our guests experiencing the enjoyment of Couthy Harbour House and how it welcomes you from the moment you arrive. James & Louise
