Description

Crockets on the Quay is located on the banks of the famous river Moy in Ballina, County Mayo. The River Moy is internationally acknowledged as an exceptional salmon fishery, producing several thousand salmon annually. Ballina is, of course, the home of the past President of Ireland, Mrs Mary Robinson, and the favourite fishing retreat of the Republic of Ireland's ex Soccer Manager, Jack Charlton. We are located only 10 minutes from the surfing mecca of Enniscrone with its beautiful beaches and waves that attract surfers from the world over. Each year in July, Ballina ignites into a frenzy of activity with its annual Salmon Festival. Over the past four years it has developed into one of Ireland's major festivals, providing a week long feast of free entertainment for the entire family - music, song, theatre, art, heritage, culture and novelty events. Crockets on the Quay is ideally located to play a round of golf on some of the best golf courses in the country, tour the Wild Atlantic Way or for those who are looking for somewhere special to unwind, relax and enjoy a short break in the west of Ireland. It is also a perfect base from which to tour the many historical and religious visitors centres and attractions in the area. Crocket’s has won major awards in both the food and drinks industry including the overall ‘Pub of the Year’ award and ‘Connacht Pub of the Year’ in the past. In recent times, Crocket’s has been reviewed favourably by four different food writers and listed in The Irish Times ‘Ireland’s Top 100 Restaurants’ along with the Bridgestone Guide and Georgina Campbell’s ‘Good Food Guide’, to name but a few. Our accommodation comprises eight en-suite rooms with TV, free WiFi, and tea & coffee making facilities.
