  • View from the fire pit. Waterfront access 3min. walk. There is also a great back porch and you back to a state park! Hike right out the trails. AND your near a port town w/sandy public beach, ice cream, resturants w/decks on the water & more!

  • Home from front- backs up to state park park walk out your back porch to the trails. The deck on the front has a gas grill and seating for 4-5 guests.
  • We have awesome swimming and great sunsets. Our little cove is awesome! And with the State park out back - great hiking and views.
  • WATER Access -there is 88 ft of SHARED beachfront for the cottages not directly on lake. The large empty waterfront shared lot is also great for frisbee or catch, kite flying etc. Swim, fish, launch Your kayak, watch sunset.
  • You have stairs to the water and a great view from the beach. Swimming, fishing, boating all can occur here. Shared access is for homes only.
  • Front area has seating and small gas grill, more seating to left is just out of photo.
  • Bathroom with tub/shower, window for natural light.
  • A great back porch that backs to the state park (we can show you the trail heads on arrival). You also have a fire pit, horseshoe pit, picnic table and 5 Adirondack chairs at the fire pit waiting.
  • NY State Park Beechwood is out your back door. Enjoy the hiking - great trails and on the lake for wonderful woods or water views.
  • A New York State Park Beechwood - that starts out your back door. This is the Pond - 7min. Hike to reach this, pond- it is a short distance out the back door. OUT the front door is the lake about 3- 5min. walk.
  • We have great fire pit and plenty of chairs to enjoy it. You are a short walk to the public beach access for the homes. You back to a state park that runs along the lake as well. And only 3 miles from Sodus Point for a Sandy public beach!
  • Sodus Point public beach is about 5 miles away in the lovely historic town in Sodus Point NY. Enjoy the sandy beach, lighthouse museum, ice cream, playgrounds and restaurants with decks on the water for a great view w/dinner.

  • This little hallway goes to the bathroom on one end and main room on other. You SEE bedrooms entrance near TV on far wall. Wash is in hall w/storage and bench.
  • Feed the goats and enjoy the country - our farm markets have playgrounds, great baked goods and wonderful fruit and vegetables. The county’s main industry is apple farming.
  • Sunset from your water access point. Sun moves back to start of land during the year.
  • Sodus Point Beach is a great place to spend a day. Public Bathhouse to change, playgrounds, sand, pier, lighthouse museum, rent a boat (kayak to power boat) or launch one! Get dinner at one of the 3 restaurant's with decks on the waterfront !
  • Another view of the pond - out your back door about 7min. Hike into the NY State Beechwood Park is the beaver pond and THIS trail is cross country ski ready in winter as the trail is groomed for skiers.
  • Wide angle shows parking and you have lots of space and privacy - tucked against the State Park. We will show you how to hike to the trails - sharing a map and video of trail head on arrival.
  • The area is known for fruit farming! The single largest industry in the entire county is Apple Farming and next Recreation nad tourism -waterfront. Rural peaceful and enjoy a day visiting the farm markets for a great baked goods, and more!
  • Sodus Point and the area is KNOWN for awesome fishing! Stream in the state park behind you (look up Maxwell fishing access in NYS) and big lake fishing out the front door. Maybe even a charter boat out of Sodus Point! FUN!
  • We welcome dogs (max 2). This cutie came to visit us and enjoys the beach. Note the point behind - this is part of your public access.

A lovely family of 5 owns this home but as the 3 kids have grown to adults they find they are using it a less and are now open to sharing. I at Ferryland Cottage Rentals run a little hospitality and cottage rentals business and rent my other 2 cottages (one mine one my sisters) here. We do love these homes, use these homes and enjoy sharing with kind travelers. I care take and rent the cottages here and this is the most recent as of 2022 and have been renting here since 2008. Over the years we have rented many cottages and rented to hundreds of guests. We work hard to give personal attention to guests. And with the owners have worked to make the cottages welcoming and easy to use for all. Ferryland Cottage rentals (thats me Jan) will make a point of making your stay hospitable. No matter the reason for your trip we want to make it GREAT!

Directions

  • Road from Rochester, NY (37.0 miles)
    The cottage is about a 47 min. drive from Rochester, NY.  GPS is recommended!  Only the turn off of Lake Road near the end can be easy to miss.  Look for a small "Sprongs Bluff" sign, and a larger sign for "Youngman Orchards Farm Market", both on the  side of the road.  Turn  here, and drive in past the many mailboxes and all the way back between the house and barn (slow please, for kids/animals), and continue straight down the dirt road toward the lake.  About a half mile down, take the RIGHT fork at the owners' name sign.  Continue straight.  The cottage you are staying at is a few minutes further down on the right.  Please park only in the driveway.
