Estbek House Information

Situated in Sandsend, one of North Yorkshire's prettiest coastal villages, Estbek House is a award winning restaurant with rooms. Estbek (often mis-spelt Estbeck -or- Eskbeck) itself is a Georgian property, built circa 1750 and previously housing the Alum mining office. Set on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors coastline, with the Cleveland way directly in front of the restaurant and the national park boundary to the rear, we are situated in one of England’s most unique and historically rich villages. Sandsend nestles between the coast and the Mulgrave woods, with glorious sandy beaches only 10 yards away and the two fantastic Mulgrave castles only a short walk away. Sit back and enjoy real pleasure, with the finest quality fresh local food accompanied by a contemporary selection of wines and unique after dinner drinks, paired with an award winning restaurant and accommodation, all with excellent service and attention to detail second to none. Having held an AA rosette since September 2004 and gaining a second rosette in April 2009, we are sure you will find Estbek ideal for that special occasion. Our daily changing menu is focused on the very locality of Estbek; with the sea and moorland at our door, it is hard not to enjoy the best of our beautiful corner of the world. Using the finest of fresh local ingredients allows us to offer dishes which are based on the natural flavour, a flavour which is all too often lost in a modern world. Having been refurbished to the highest of standards by the present owners, we are sure you will appreciate the details of your stay. Estbek offers guests the chance to relax on arrival with a glass of Champagne in our bar, with time to look over and discuss the evening's menu and wine selection. Once you go upstairs, you will find a comfortable and stylish restaurant ideal for that romantic meal, or a time to catch up with good friends.
