Description
Set in the exquisite Cotswolds village of Great Barrington, this 17th century inn sits right on the banks of the River Windrush. Seven spacious bedrooms, packed with original features and newly refurbished in 2022 give you the ideal base for exploring the local towns and villages, taking long country walks or simply taking in the surroundings of our beautiful building and grounds. The Fox at Barrington has both a traditional bar and stunning riverside restaurant, as well as large garden and alfresco dining area. In the summer, enjoy our beautiful garden, while all year long our award-winning kitchen team prepare fresh seasonal dishes and delicious bar snacks.
Our team has been providing exceptional service in The Cotswolds for years, with landlord Terence moving here 30 years ago from South Africa and working in some of the area's most renowned establishments before branching out into his own pubs. We have owned our sister pub, The Angel at Burford since 2011 before adding to our stable with The Fox in 2022. Our philosophy is to provide a warm and friendly welcome, excellent food and drink, and to share our beautiful Cotswolds surroundings with our guests.
