Description
A Warm & Friendly welcome awaits you at the Gilbey's Bar & Restaurant... Situated on the High Street of Eton, close to the River Thames and between the historic buildings of Eton College and Windsor Castle, Gilbey’s is open from 12 noon for lunch (excluding Mondays) and 6.00 pm for dinner every day. Originally an old butcher’s shop, we created one of the first wine bars outside London in 1975 – The Eton Wine Bar. After 25 years of success, we changed the name in 2000 to Gilbey’s, recognising that our food had outgrown the original wine bar concept. Our friendly and efficient team look forward to welcoming you in either the Studio Suite Accommodation, stunning Conservatory Restaurant, Bar or intimate Courtyard Garden. We have a lovely first floor Private Dining room which is available for parties of between 8 and 14 people. The charge for its exclusive use is £75. This is a fabulous room for smaller private parties and there is ample room to stand and linger over drinks beforehand. The room looks out onto the historic High Street and towards Windsor Castle. It also makes an excellent meeting room / board room…and has all the required video gadgetry and a 42 inch screen for Power Point presentations etc.

Our rooms are all located on the first and second floors and unfortunately we do not have a lift. The rooms are all accessed via a staircase.

Road from London (12.0 miles)From the M4 motorway exit at junction 6. Turn right at the roundabout towards Slough and then at the next roundabout take the third exit. Follow this road straight on (do not turn right when the road bends) carry on untill you reach a railway bridge, turn right under the bridge. At the next traffic lights turn right and then at the roundabout go straight over towards Eton. When you reach Eton high street carry on almost to the end. Gilbey's is located around 5 shops before the bridge at the end
