The Gladstone Information

Description

The Gladstone is based on the beautiful North Wales coast and brings you a great place to eat, drink and stay. With great food and views, it goes way beyond your normal bed &breakfast, what's more it is just off junction 16 of the the A55 North Wales trunk road. It is an ideal location to stop over when travelling to Ireland via the Stenna Line ferries at Holyhead. Or passing further down the North Wales peninsular, into Snowdonia or across the Menai straits to Anglesey. Our bar/restaurant brings you top quality, great tasting food for all of the family. We have 6 beautiful fully refurbished boutique designer style rooms offering you luxurious accommodation and offer B&B with that little extra to make your stay with us special. Our pub has won a number of CAMRA awards for our cask ales and offers a traditional 'local' atmosphere but with a modern twist. We have been awarded an entry into the 'Good Beer Guide' for the last 9 years With coastal and sea views from the restaurant, bar, dining terrace and garden - The Gladstone is the perfect base to visit North Wales on business or pleasure, a stay at The Gladstone, whether for a meal, a drink or a break will enhance your time in North Wales. Together, the restaurant, accommodation and the bar bring you a great place to eat, drink and stay. North Wales now has the world-first inland surf lagoon, the longest zip line in the northern hemisphere, the biggest zip zone in Europe, giant underground trampolines and world class mountain biking tracks together with beaches, water sports and stunning coastal views. Breakfast times: Monday - Friday 8.00am until 10:00am, Saturday & Sunday 9am until 10am. A continental breakfast will be offered to guests wanting breakfast outside these times. A variety of cereals, local cheese & ham, fresh fruit, yogurts, fruit juices are all available.

Directions

  • Road from Chester (40.0 miles)
    From the east, Manchester airport, M6 and M56 join the A55 and follow the A55 through Conwy tunnel and through the next tunnel, carry on for another mile or so to the first roundabout, junction 16 (not 16A). At this roundabout take the first exit left, then first left (signposted Dwygyfylchi) and proceed up Ysguborwen road for about 400 meters and you will see 'The Gladstone' on the right.
  • Boat from Holyhead Ferry (28.0 miles)
    From the west (Holyhead ferry etc.), follow the A55 towards Bangor/Conwy for approx 28 miles to the second roundabout, (there are only 2 roundabouts on the A55) junction 16 on the A55. Turn right at this roundabout and then take the first left (signposted Dwygyfylchi) and proceed up Ysguborwen road for about 400 meters and you will see 'The Gladstone' on the right.
  • Air from Manchester airport (60.0 miles)
