The Gleneagles Guesthouse sits proudly in one of Southend-on-Sea's most sceninc and tranquil clifftop locations, overlooking the beautiful Cliff Gardens and enjoying panoramic views of the Thames estuary and Southend's vibrant seafront. Ideally located for business and leisure, our elegant Grade II listed building dates back from the 1850's.Just steps from the seafront, town centre and the Cliff Pavilion Theatre, It is conveniently located in one of the town's most historic and tranquil conservation areas. Southend Airport is also just a 15-minute drive away. Our beautifully decorated rooms range from singles to family rooms and sea view suites with panoramic views of the Thames estuary Each has ensuite facilities, TV, free wi-fi access, tea/coffee making facilities and free toiletries.Fresh milk is availble on request. Our high quality breakfast menu is made with locally sourced produce and the licensed Tea Rooms offers morning coffee, light lunches and our speciality ‘Bandstand’ cream tea or Afternoon Tea. All of which can be enjoyed from our terrace overlooking the Thames if warm enough.

Accessibility

The Gleneagles Guesthouse is a Grade II listed building spanning 5 floors with a number of steps leading up to the entrance. There is no lift access to upper floors. If you have any specific accessibility requirements or concerns, we would recommend that you telephone in advance so that we can advise whether our accommodation is suitable for your needs.

Directions

  • Train from Southend Central (0.25 miles)
    Leave the station and head for the pedestriansed High Street. Walk down the HIgh Street towards the sea. At the end turn right at the Royal Hotel along the top of the cliffs and we are 500 metres along by the large statue of Queen Victoria.
