The Lord Marchman Suite is for the Business Traveler or overnight guest. Its black and white monochromatic decor is a soothing respite for the eye and the soul. The high headboard and sumptuous fabrics from the hand carved cornice are the focal point to the room. The Honeymoon Suite (270 sqft) has a King-size bed with a velvet tufted headboard centered beneath a crystal chandelier and swathed in fabrics that cascade down from a canopy. French doors open to the private bath whirlpool garden tub encased in marble tile & a two person marble shower with a built-in seat. The room is accented with chandeliers and an ornate mirror over a furniture-style vanity. This luxurious bedroom suite is the only room with an outside entrance to the balcony overlooking the Court Yard.

The Lady by the Sea Room has been the witness to hundreds of brides who have used this as their dressing room on their wedding day - back to the 1940's. This room (252 sqft) is soothing in cool shades of blue to match the original blue tiles on the fireplace surround. The antique furniture, King-size bed and dressing table make this room that of unpretentious comfort. The private bath has original tub & pedestal sink. Hillcrest Manor Bed and Breakfast Information
Description
Our Mission: To radiate love, warmth, grace and composure and create, host and facilitate an atmosphere in which all who enter may be inspired, encouraged and embraced. Hillcrest Manor, a Montgomery, Alabama bed and breakfast, is a magnificent and grand mansion that was rebuilt around 1915 and has been listed on the Alabama Register of Historic Places. Encompassing over 5,000 square feet and reputed to be one of the grandest homes built in Montgomery, the storybook mansion is the legacy of the late Judge and Mrs. Will Hill. The original home, built in the mid-1800s fell into disrepair and was torn down around the turn of the century. The Hill's rebuilt the mansion over the same foundation and basement, using the bricks from the former antebellum home. A rich pre-Civil War history (to include Wilson's Raiders encamping on the property on their way to the city) makes Hillcrest Manor a landmark in Montgomery, Alabama. With its stately columns, Hillcrest is an example of fine Roman Revival Architecture. The stained glass windows, leaded glass doors, pier mirrors, crystal chandeliers and gold leaf cornices are all original to the house, as are many other furnishings. Hillcrest Manor is located on a tree-lined street, situated upon a hill overlooking the Historic Garden District. The mansion rests amid a private 1.91 acres of mature trees, lush gardens, colorful flowers, verdant manicured lawns and formal fountains and statuary. Formally owned and maintained by the Montgomery Federation of Garden Clubs for nearly 50 years, the grounds are a discovery in themselves. The Wedding Garden is a private and secluded area that is quietly tucked away among the 100 year-old trees, an arbor dripping with wisteria and a waterfall and stream that flow to a pond reflecting its lush surroundings.
When purchased in January 2004, Hillcrest Manor was, in our eyes, almost as grand as she is today. Owned at the time by the Montgomery Federation of Garden Clubs, she was starting the show her age and calling for that much-needed face-lift. Three years later, in October 2007, we celebrated her Grand Opening. She boasts of four beautifully appointed guestrooms, as well as four new bathrooms and the refurbishing of three existing ones. Restored moldings and fireplaces, floors and walls, a new state-of-the-art commercial kitchen and dish room, security and fire protection systems are but a few of the challenges that we met and achieved. The lovingly restored Hillcrest Manor B&B now offers guests accommodations they would expect to find in a luxury hotel plus the enhancements of our personalized service and signature hospitality.
