Judy's Touch of Class Bed & Breakfast Information

Description

This Colonial Home is privately owned and owner occupied. Because it is close to both downtown and the airport, courtesy pick up and delivery are generally available. While in the winter months a continental breakfast is offered, a full hot breakfast is provided during the summer. This quiet neighborhood has wide streets for easy access. Close to the famous Coastal Trail, easy access provides a convenient 25 minute walk to downtown, or a leisurely evening walk. A courtesy tandem bike is provided. While Jim is not a commercial pilot, he does enjoy giving rides in his Cessna 182 for guests. Ice Cream at 9 PM is frequently offered so guests can share the adventures of the day, and plans for the morrow!

In order to support his hobbies of flying and singing, Jim was a trial lawyer for 40 years, handling civil trials throughout the state of Alaska. Jim and Judy moved to Alaska in 1964 from Ohio and Michigan (law school). Both have been heavily involved in community activities, especially the First Presbyterian Church, and the Alaska Chamber Singers. Jim also took up flying in the late 80's and now flies his own Cessna 182, a 4 place aircraft which seems ideal for sightseeing. We opened the B&B in 2009, a few years after Jim retired from law. Judy Died with Alzheimer's in 2019 and Jim married April Hoffman, also from Ohio. April is a retired teacher and an Ohio State Grad.
