The experience at Journey Inn is restful and revitalizing, combining elements of a B&B, retreat center and spa. Elegant simplicity, privacy and creature comforts make Journey Inn a unique destination to enjoy nature and reconnect with yourself and others. The nearby Cottage offers privacy for solo retreats or a gathering space for couples, families and friends. It includes a throughly equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms and baths, one with a jacuzzi tub. Guest from the Inn & Cottage, as well as those traveling through the area, can enjoy spa and wellness services at the onsite EarthSky BodyMind Center. Services include massage, energy therapy, Japanese Soaking Tub, labyrinth ritual, private yoga sessions, yoga nidra and life direction coaching. Group retreats are scheduled throughout the year. Bring your own group for a custom-made retreat. Located 3 miles from Lake Pepin in Maiden Rock, WI Journey Inn is nestled in a wild natural area on 66 acres of private land. Enjoy hiking the woodlands, prairie and creek, walking the meditative Labyrinth, biking and walking on rustic roads (bikes and snowshoes provided). Enjoy dark night skies, birdwatching, native plants and animals, driftless area river bluffs, nearby fishing & boating. The local area provides unique artist-run shops, galleries, restaurants and wineries. Close access to the town of Maiden Rock, Stockholm, Pepin, Ellsworth and Alma in Wisconsin, and Wabasha, Lake City and Red Wing across the river in Minnesota.

  • Road from Minneapolis/St Paul (53.0 miles)

    From 94 East take the River Falls exit. This is Hwy 35 Wisconsin and will take you to Ellsworth. Stay straight at the traffic circle. In Ellsworth take a left on Hwy 10. In 20 minutes look for County Road A on the right. Take A for 3 miles and make a left on 385th St.  You will be crossing the Rush River. In one mile take a left on 200th Ave. Proceed down the road till you get to our welcome sign.

    From 494 East take the 10/61 exit to Prescott/Hastings. When the road splits off take Hwy 10 to Prescott. After crossing the bridge either take a right on Hwy 35/The Great River Road or left to continue on Hwy 10 to Ellsworth (see directions above).  If taking the Great River Road make a left on 385th, just before the town of Maiden Rock. Go 3 miles, staying to the left when roads connect. Take a right on 200th Ave.
