The Lathkil Hotel is the place to go for a special break where you’ll find old fashioned hospitality, good food and relaxation served in the heart of the beautiful Peak National Park. Situated in the tiny Derbyshire village of Over Haddon, perched above the stunning Lathkill Dale, just two miles from the historic market town of Bakewell. We have 2 King-size double rooms with en-suite bath and shower facilities situated at the front of the hotel, enjoying a panoramic view of the Lathkill Dale. These rooms are completed with a flatscreen TV/DVD combo, mini fridge and tea & coffee making facilities. These 2 front rooms can also be twinned on request. To the rear of the hotel, we have 1 double room with an en-suite bath and shower facilities and 1 double room with an ensuite shower room. Both of these rooms also enjoy a mini fridge, flatscreen TV/DVD combo and tea & coffee making facilities. Please note that all of our rooms are non-smoking accommodation. It is not possible to enter or exit the hotel between the hours of 23:45 and 07:00. Here at the Lathkil Hotel, we're not part of a chain but are a friendly local team who want to help you make the most of your time at the hotel and the local surroundings so that you'll want to come back time and time again. Within the White Peak lies the little village of Over Haddon, and the Lathkil Hotel. The village is very attractive without being over-precious, surrounded as it is by working farms. In summer its clear air and wonderful views are almost intoxicating (and that's before you've visited the bar at The Lathkil).

Directions

  • Road from Bakewell (2.0 miles)
    Leave Bakewell on the B5055 (signposted Over Haddon & Monyash) and follow the straight road out of Bakewell. After about a mile, you will see a sign for Over Haddon & Lathkill Dale. Take the left turn-off and follow it until you reach Over Haddon. Driving into the village, stay on the main street until you reach our sign directing you to turn left onto School Lane.
