Long Mountain Lodge Information

Description

SUNSET MOUNTAIN VIEWS, SHUTTLE SERVICE TO THE DAHLONEGA SQUARE, FANTASTIC BREAKFASTS, WOOD-BURNING FIREPLACES LONG MOUNTAIN LODGE Get away to the best place to stay in Dahlonega in beautiful wine country of the North Georgia Mountains. The upscale, rustic Lodge, sits on 3 acres. Our family owned and run lodgings cater to those celebrating special occasions or looking to enjoy the many outdoor activities and wineries; or to just relax. LODGE: SUNSET MOUNTAIN VIEWS FROM EVERY ROOM IN NORTH GEORGIA WINE COUNTRY – On the slope of Long Mountain in the Chattahoochee National Forest, the Lodge offers peace, serenity and classic amenities. Long Mountain Lodge B&B Inn is ten minutes from the historic city of Dahlonega and close to wineries, waterfall hikes, the Appalachian Trail, cycling, unique shopping and owner-run restaurants. Most rooms feature fireplaces, jetted garden tubs and private entrances. Our boutique hotel’s sumptuous, plated full-breakfasts are a topic of many of our rave reviews. We also have an ADA Compliant / handicap accessible suite – The Long Mountain Suite – on the main floor.

Our lodging offerings are a favorite for guests looking for a special experience for an important occasion - anniversary, honeymoon, birthdays etc., or just a quiet, relaxing stay in the mountains away from traffic where they can soak up nature. The decor is upscale, Adirondack style with a blend of antiques and new mountain furnishings. We love to show off our fantastic area to our guests and offer many packages from romance to guided hikes, craft beer pub crawls and of course wine tours.

Directions

A car is recommended when staying at the property
  • Road from Dahlonega (6.5 miles)

    DIRECTIONS:

If you are using a GPS, set it for Main Street, Dahlonega. Once you are there, then enter our address: 144 Bull Creek Road. It will ask you either East or West. Punch in either one, the GPS doesn’t recognize just plain Bull Creek Road. Our driveway to the Lodge is actually right at the split of East and West Bull Creek Road (a sharp right turn onto the blacktop driveway at the split). But if you set our address in from your home, Garmin may well take you the shortest route over remote, gravel forest service roads. By setting to downtown first, you will also see how to get back to town. If you are arriving after dark, our signs by the lodge driveway are well lighted.

    Directions to Long Mountain Lodge:

From Georgia 400, turn left (North) onto State Route 60 and go approximately 5 miles to Dahlonega.

Go onto the Historic Dahlonega Town Square & go 1/4 of the way around the old courthouse that is in the middle of the square.

Turn right onto Main Street, heading East (it's the road between the Visitor Center and the Fudge Factory)

Go 2 blocks and turn left at the first traffic light onto North Grove Street. Go approximately 2.1 miles and turn left onto Camp Wahsega Road.

Go 4.7 miles down Camp Wahsega Road and turn right at our sign onto Bull Creek Road.

Go approximately 150 yards - where the road splits and there is a row of mailboxes on the left, take a very sharp RIGHT turn onto the paved Long Mountain Lodge Drive that goes up the hill. Follow the drive to the top of the hill and you will be at the lodge. The main entrance is through the screened porch. Please park in a designated space.
