SHANKLIN, ISLE OF WIGHT Luccombe Villa Holiday Apartments occupy a wonderful, quiet position just a short stroll from Shanklin Chine, Rylstone Gardens, Shanklin Old Village and Appley Steps which lead down to Shanklin's sandy beaches and waterfront pubs. The nine self-catering holiday apartments range in size from one to three bedrooms. They are spacious, well equipped and all benefit from free wifi. Pets are welcome at Luccombe Villa and some apartments have private outside areas. All guests can enjoy the outdoor swimming pool (heated from May half term to September) set in the secluded garden. Luccombe Villa lies on the Island's famous Coastal Path which you can follow to Bonchurch, Ventnor and, finally, to the south tip of the Island.

Accessibility

We have enough parking on site for all of our holiday apartments. It is possible to park immediately outside some ground floor apartments, particularly The Warren and The Den. The parking to the front of Luccombe Villa has a Tarmac surface and the parking to the rear is gravelled. Keys for the apartments are generally collected on arrival at Luccombe Villa from the main house. There are five steps leading up to the front door, but guests can phone on arrival so that keys can be brought out to them. The internal layout of each apartment, with photos of all rooms, can be viewed on our website. All access doors and internal doors are a standard size, with a width of 72cm. There are no hand rails or special adaptations in any of the apartments. The Warren, The Den and the Burrow are on the ground floor and can be accessed via a ramp for the parking area and a 6" threshold into the apartment. All other apartments are accessed via stairs.

Directions

  • Train from Shanklin Railway Station (0.9 miles)
    If you're arriving on foot, walk south towards Regent St (62 ft). Continue onto Regent St. Go through 1 roundabout (0.3 mi). Turn right onto High St/A3055. Continue to follow A3055. Turn left down footpath between Pencil Cottage and The Crab Inn (Chine Hollow). Follow footpath over stream and up hill. Turn right at the top and Luccombe Villa is 200 ft on the left.
