Luxury Bothies at Inver Restaurant Information

Description

The Inver bothies are adjacent to the restaurant, over a small wooden bridge. The contemporary interiors feature mosaic tiling, hand-woven cushions, bespoke quilts and floor-to-ceiling picture windows overlooking the loch and Old Castle Lachlan. Each en suite bothy has a king-size bed (double or twin); three have baths and the fourth features a spacious wet room and walk-in shower. An air-source heat pump, eco-friendly wood fibre insulation and triple glazing keeps them cool in summer and cosy in the cold months. Relax, put on a record, read one of the classic paperbacks or enjoy the Wi-Fi, while outside the window osprey fish the bay and trout jump in the river. In the evening we serve a fixed, four course menu in the restaurant. Using current cooking techniques and the very best local wild and farmed ingredients we offer a contemporary take on traditional and forgotten Scottish dishes. Our a la carte dinner and lunch menus feature simply prepared fresh seafood and native meat and game in season. We have a cosy bar serving craft ale, natural wine and fancy drinks. Our coffee is roasted nearby and served morning and afternoon with our scones, cakes and cookies. There’s also a small shop selling our own sourdough bread, cultured butter and preserves and our own beer, brewed with friends at nearby Fyne Ales. Pam and Rob took over in spring 2015 and with their friends and family have built the sort of place they like to spend time. We hope that you will too.

  • Road from Glasgow (70.0 miles)

    Leave Glasgow on the M8, heading west. Pass Glasgow airport before taking the M898 exit towards Erskine/Bishopton. Cross the Erskine Bridge, keep left and follow signs for A82/Crianlarich. Continue on the A82 through Dumbarton, up the side of Loch Lomond (yup, it's starting to get pretty). When you reach Tarbet continue onto the A83, heading towards Arrochar and over the Rest and Be Thankful. Continue past Butter Bridge and at the bottom of the long straight take a left onto the A815. Stay on the A815 until you reach Strachur, then take a right onto the A886 continuing along the lochside. You're nearly there! A couple miles out of Strachur on the A886 take a right on to the B8000, signposted Inver Restaurant. Follow the B8000 for 8 miles and Inver is on the right hand side.
