Description

Manor Farm Courtyard Holiday Cottages in Hampstead Norreys; a picturesque farming village in Berkshire, with easy access to Newbury, Oxford, Highclere Castle (the location for ITV’s ‘Downton Abbey’), Didcot, Swindon, the M4 and A34. Lovely walks close by, excellent playground, great village pub. Close to The Living Rainforest. Visit England 4 star rating. Silver award Green Tourism. Our luxuriously-appointed self-catering cottages are ideal for large groups, sleeping up to 16 people across four cottages. These 17th century former barns and stables, renovated by the Betts family farm, provide everything you need for a luxurious stay in glorious Berkshire countryside. All cottages have dishwashers, washing machines, fully equipped kitchens and free high speed wifi. Cots and highchairs can be provided. There is free parking outside the properties. Pets allowed for an extra charge. We offer a specially adapted accessible studio cottage, generously equipped and graded to M3i standard. The kitchen can be adapted for a wheelchair user if necessary. The village community shop cafe; café next to the Cottages offers fresh food and provisions to cater for all your needs.

The family have owned the farm in the centre of the village for several generations and it continues today to be a working arable and beef cattle farm. We are live next door to the self-catering cottages so are on hand to answer any questions and to meet our guests. There is lots to do close by for walkers, families, groups, couples and singles. We can cater for everyone including single people on business in the area or looking for a short-term house in between houses or if you need to move out for building work. Orchard cottage is popular with large groups as you can all eat together but sleep in different cottages next door, suitable for birthdays, baptisms, wedding parties, stag & hen parties, family reunions etc. The Living Rainforest is a great place to visit in the village with a sloth, monkeys, butterflies to see. We are a popular base to visit Oxford, London, Windsor, Legoland, Goring and the Ridgeway for walking. The heating for the self-catering cottages has is run on a wood-pellet boiler so very environmentally friendly.

Accessibility

The Stable is a fully accessible studio with wet room. A wheelchair user can cook and wash up in the specially adapted kitchen if required. One of the beds has space underneath to take a hoist. In The Stable there is a shower chair available on request.

    There are several railway stations close by - Newbury, Pangbourne, Theale, Didcot Parkway.  They are between 15-20 mins from here 
  • Air from Heathrow (41.0 miles)
    Heathrow airport is about 50 mins from here by car on the M4 motorway
