Description
Shadyside is an Amish-built log cabin located at Marsh Hollow. We offer a 34 acre private retreat, with woods to explore, a shallow creek to splash through and an open field for games and camping. Shadyside Cabin features two bedrooms, with queen size beds (upstairs bedroom also has a full size futon), 2 bathrooms, great room, fully equipped kitchen & large deck. Guests will appreciate our HDTV, cheery gas "wood" stove and sound system. Hot tub, of course. Perfect for two couples or groups up to 6. Step down from the main deck to the private hot tub deck. Slip into our complimentary Marsh Hollow robes after a soothing visit to the hot tub. Canoeing, fishing, hiking, and horseback riding are nearby. In addition to your outdoor adventures, sample the fine dining at local inns & restaurants, schedule an in-cabin massage, and shop for antiques, and arts & crafts. The cabin is equipped with satellite TV, Blue Ray player and telephone. Your comfort is assured with central air conditioning and heat. In the winter, a gas "wood" stove provides a cheery fire. A large deck overlooks a meadow and wooded hillside. The deck is furnished with rocking chairs, picnic table, and propane grill. Enjoy a campfire (firewood provided) under the stars while planning the next day's adventures in the Hocking Hills. And Shadyside Cabin is pet friendly! Items we furnish: Bedding, bathmat, towels, washcloths, dishes, pots, pans, silverware, coffee pot, toaster, blender, liquid dish detergent, paper products (e.g. toilet paper, paper towels, napkins), hairdryer. Suggested items to bring: Insect repellent (in season), toiletries, rain gear, hiking boots (with Yak-Trax or spikes in winter), CDs, DVD's, all food including condiments, small bag of ice. While perfectly safe to drink, the water in the cabin is from a well.
Thank you for visiting our Shadyside Cabin at Marsh Hollow listing. We have owned the Marsh Hollow property since 2002 and every year, we try to make it a little bit better. We began renting Pinewood Cabin to guests in 2003. In 2013, we added the beautiful Amish-built Shadyside Cabin, and in 2014, John Grogan joined us as Operations Manager. In 2016, we added 20 acres to the Marsh Hollow property, along with “The Cottage.” Since we are local, we are available to answer your questions and take care of unexpected issues, which rarely occur. We can also advise you on the Hocking Hills trail system, special activities such as ziplining, horseback riding, canoeing, rappelling & rock climbing and most importantly dining! We have lived in the Hocking Hills since 1994 and would love to share our little corner of the world with you.
