Description
The Novar Arms Hotel is centrally situated in the picturesque village of Evanton, 15 miles north of Inverness, and within easy reach of the starting point of the North Coast 500. With 21 Bedrooms, Restaurant, Lounge and spacious public bar (Pool Table, Dart Board, Live Sky Sports and BT Sport, Quiz Machine, etc) , The Novar Arms Hotel is the ideal place for your stay. Superfast fibre optic broadband in all public areas and bedrooms, through free wifi. Our Restaurant, Lounge Bar and Family Room all serve lunches and dinners 7 days a week, with our service times Monday to Friday 12pm - 2pm and 5pm - 9pm, and all day food on a Saturday and Sunday 12pm - 9pm. We run a Sunday Carvery every Sunday. Daily Special Boards will also be available during all meal times, except on Sunday, where only the set Carvery menu is available. During the Winter months, the Restaurant has reduced opening hours, but we open for Evening Meals 7 nights a week. Our Restaurant offers a wide selection of fresh cooked to order dishes, using the best of local produce. We have a large selection of Scottish Malt Whiskeys varying from 10 to 16 years old. Amongst these we have local distilled malts, such as our 10 year old Dalmore - distilled in Alness and 10 year old Glenmorangie - distilled in Tain. Road from Inverness (18.0 miles)From entering Inverness along the a9 - continue along the a9 onto the Kessock Bridge and stay on this road for approximately 13 miles - following this onto the Cromarty Bridge you will approach a roundabout - straight over the roundabout and continue for a further 2 miles - then there will be a slip lane to the left taking you into the town of Evanton - follow for 1/2 a mile - once you see a Co-operative shortly after you will see The Novar Arms.

Road from Thurso (93.0 miles)The drive from Thurso to Evanton is a straight drive on the a9 following signs to Inverness. Passing through Alness point you should become aware that the next junction on the right is the junction you shall take - this road follows you up past the Skiach petrol station in which you take the next junction on the left - following this road for a couple of miles until it takes you into the town of Evanton in which you will drive past the Caravan Park and soon after see The Novar arms on the right.

Train from Inverness (18.0 miles)If you are travelling by train to the Novar Arms Hotel please be aware that there is no train station in Evanton so will have to make your stop in either Dingwall or Alness and get a connecting bus or taxi to the hotel.
