Number Five Information


Number Five is a large, practical family home, conveniently situated on the outskirts of the town of Somerton. With a family bedroom (double and single bed) and two further large double rooms, together with a sofa bed in the sitting room - you have ample space in which to enjoy your stay. You will find a modern kitchen, large sitting room with french doors to the terrace and garden, and a separate dining room that seats 8. The mature garden has a circular lawn and is south facing. Owner lives in an attached annex with a separate courtyard garden and is always respectful of guests' need for privacy. The spacious sitting room allows for 8 people to sit comfortably, and has a smart tv. The sitting room also has a double sofa bed. The dining room features an extendable table to seat 8 people. The well appointed kitchen has a large double oven, washer dryer, fridge freezer and microwave oven. Each bedroom has its own television, wardrobe hanging space and drawers. The main family room comprises a double bed with an additional single bed. The two other bedrooms are large doubles. Upstairs a bathroom contains a bath with separate shower cubicle. Downstairs a shower room with toilet can be found off the kitchen. The garden has an outdoor dining table for 6 and a sofa and tow comfy chairs. For infants: We provide a high chair, bottom stair gate and a travel cot (please supply your own bedding). We ask that dogs are kept on a lead in the garden.

Built in the 1920s, the rooms at Number Five are large and spacious. Likewise the garden has plenty of lawn, and a separate terrace on which to enjoy the sunshine. Owner Becky lives in an attached annex, and is on hand for any queries, but otherwise affords guests all the privacy they may need during their stay.

  • Road from Taunton (19.0 miles)
    From Taunton, take the A358. At Thornfalcon, turn left onto A378 towards Curry Rivel and Langport. Follow the A378 through the centre of Langport and in the direction of Somerton. As you approach Somerton, past the wooden gates on the verges, take the first left signposted to Bancombe Trading Estate (Cartway Lane). At the mini roundabout turn right and continue on Bancombe Road. The road then becomes a cul-de-sac and Number Five can be found on the right hand side.

    Please note that a new road layout has been implemented nearby and your satnav may direct you into Russet Road which is now closed. Follow the signs to Somerton Business Park - taking Cartway Lane. As you get to the mini roundabout turn right onto Bancombe Road. Continue straigh on this road until it turns into a cul-de-sac. Just after this, Number Five can be found on the right hand side of the road.
