The Old Library & Lodge Information

Description

Built in 1750 as a stable for the local estate horses the Old library has undergone many changes until in 1973 it became a restaurant and over the years has added on bedrooms. With stunning views from the front of the building looking out over Loch nan Ceall to the Rhue peninsula and Hebridean islands of Eigg and Rum and peacefull views to the rear of our garden. The Old Library is a welcoming and friendly place to stay.

    Travel from Glasgow via A82 to Fort William then turn left at roundabout onto A830 Road to the isles for 40 miles approx.

  • Road from Inverness (110.0 miles)

    From Inverness on A82 to Fort William turn right at roundabout by Ben Nevis distillery onto A830 Road to the Isles for 40 miles approx

  • Train from Glasgow (160.0 miles)

    Depart Glasgow Queen street direct train to Arisaig via the spectacular West highland railway ( recently voted one of the most picturesque rail journeys of the world ). Upon arrival the Old Library is a short walk downhill into the centre of the Village.
