COVID-19 UPDATE – Following guidance given by GOV.UK, as of 4th July, our B&B is open for business. Prior to booking please contact us (tel 07810576275 or email enquiry@oxfordbnb.com) to ensure you are clear on what we offer at present. We look forward to greeting you. Our ‘Bed & Breakfast’ accommodation is separate from, but within a family home. We offer well-presented bedrooms all with en-suite shower rooms. We, the proprietors, are available to help on local information if needed. Enjoy a substantial ‘Continental Breakfast’ when it suits you (from early morning to mid-day; it’s up to you! Go to Breakfast Tab on our website). Our guest breakfast room can also be used at other times to enjoy your own ready meals. There is a guest microwave, fridge & washing machine/tumble dryer in the breakfast room. Located, near but not on a main road, 2.5 miles south of Oxford city centre, set in an urban environment but within minutes of the historic Bagley Wood and the iconic River Thames. A bus service running every 15 to 20 minutes (evenings 30 to 40 minutes) is only 3 minutes walk from our b&b, and will take you to the city centre in 15 minutes. Off street parking is available. We are only a short distance (10 minute walk) from the River Thames and a pleasant walk to the centre of Oxford. The village pub within 5 minutes of our B&B offers tasty affordable meals (including all day ‘English Breakfast’!) Local amenities include: A good value Pub just 5 mins. walk from our B&B. Indian restaurant and Chinese take-away (you are welcome to use our ‘Breakfast Room’ for ready meals). 2 village shops Post office Doctor’s surgery & chemist Launderette PLEASE NOTE: For an occupancy of more than 2 Adults and 1 Child, please contact the B&B directly.

  • Road from A34 - Hinksey Hill Intersection. (1.3 miles)
    At the A34 Hinksey Hill intersection (Oxford Ring Road) take the exit signposted Ring Road, London. Almost immediately take the next left turn onto Old Abingdon Road (100m) signposted Kennington, then next right onto Kennington Road (200m). As you enter Kennington at the mini-roundabout turn right onto Upper Road. Go to the end of Upper Road (cul-de-sac).We are the last property on the right (no 214). If you use GPS/SatNav, our post code is OX1 5LR/Upper Road. Go to the end of Upper Road.
  • Bus from Central Oxford (2.7 miles)
    Take the bus (no 35) from St Aldate’s Street (in front of Christ Church College) - destination Kennington (Abingdon). Our bus stop in Kennington is Bagley Wood Road after the village pub. We are 3 minutes’ walk from the bus stop – leave the bus, cross the road, walk up Bagley Wood Road (off the mini roundabout), after about 150m take the footpath on the right; we are immediately on the left.
