The Parson Woodforde Information

Description

Just 4 miles from the city of Norwich, The Parson Woodforde is centrally located in the tranquil village of Weston Longville, just off the main A1067 Norwich/Fakenham link road. Ideally situated for business use, as the newly opened Norwich Northern Distributor Road provides speedy access to Norwich International Airport and Industrial Estate, (10 minutes by car) The Parson Woodforde is also perfect for leisure use, with beautiful Norfolk countryside, the Norfolk Broads, and of course the stunning Norfolk coastline all within easy reach. A warm welcome awaits from our friendly helpful staff, in the bar and dining areas, country charm and traditional oak beams abound, with wooden floors, a cosy log burner and plenty of space, offering a warm, inviting place to unwind and enjoy some delicious food from our seasonally inspired menu. Upstairs, four modern and beautifully appointed en suite bedrooms provide a comfortable retreat from the rigours of your day, with views of the surrounding countryside, tea and coffee making facilities, crisp white Egyptian cotton sheets, fluffy bath towels, flat screen tv and complimentary wi fi, all helping you to relax and enjoy your stay. Price includes a great breakfast, to set you up for the day ahead. Ample free parking is available to the front and rear of the property, and exiting our car park to your left, the road leads directly to the A1067, making us remarkably easy to find. For those who wish to explore locally, there are many walking and cycling opportunities, notably along the 26 mile Marriot’s Way Heritage Trail, a footpath and cycleway linking the medieval city of Norwich to the historic market town of Aylsham. Sporting enthusiasts can enjoy five golf courses within 4 miles, Mid Norfolk Shooting Ground is less than a mile away, and just along the A1067 at Lenwade there is even The Dinosaur Adventure Park, for those of you visiting your family and looking for days out to delight the juniors!

Steve and Allyson Marlow have been owner operators together for the last twenty five years, and having enjoyed seventeen years at The Belle Vue Public House, a large, busy, Victorian corner pub in the heart of Norwich, much beloved of University of East Anglia students and locals alike, followed by a central Norfolk town 17th century ten bedroomed coaching inn, restaurant, and wedding venue, latterly they have been proud to operate the catering concession for all weddings, events, restaurant dining and coffee lounge within the beautiful setting of Drayton Old Lodge, just three miles from their new home, The Parson Woodforde Freehouse. Their hospitality skills and experience will ensure you enjoy a warm welcome and enjoyable stay.
