Pictured Rocks Bed And Breakfast Information
Description
This unique B&B was designed for guests privacy. We have created a relaxing atmosphere where guests feel at home. The hosts have their own living area so each area has its own entrance. There are two bedrooms that share the B&B area, the Grand Portal and the Chapel Rock. This area is rented out as one unit. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. There is a full kitchen, living area and dining room. There is also a laundry room in this area that guests can use. Breakfast gift card is available for the time being as workers are scarce. There is another walk out area, the Miners Castle suite, It is rented out as one unit. This area doesn’t include breakfast but has its own full kitchen, split level living area, and two bedrooms. One bedroom has its own bathroom and the other has two queen beds. There is also a main bathroom that has a walk in shower. There is also a laundry room for guests. This area is designed for bigger groups. We are located on Lake Superior’s Munising Bay. The bay is protected by Grand Island. We are nearby three waterfalls and trails into Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. At the end of Washington Street is the headquarters of Pictured Rocks and also the beautiful Sand Point beach. . Just outside the door is a sandy beach and a dock for loading and unloading. There is a wrap around deck that you can enjoy the peacefulness and great view of the lake and wonderful sunsets. A big advantage this setting has is rarely do you see mosquitoes or black flies. This makes enjoying the outside area very pleasant. www.picturedrocksbedandbreakfast,com
I added on another house on the lakeside for Joann (mother in law). We decided to start a B&B in 2014. We were able to design the house with great views and close to the water. Joann is a wonderful host and guests enjoy her breakfast and conversation. During Covid 19 she is being isolated as much as possible. . The house has in floor heating that makes the winter months comfortable Our location has been great for guests who come to enjoy the Pictured Rocks. The only drawback is in the winter months we aren’t easily accessible for snowmobiles until the bay freezes over but we get a lot of cross country skiers, snowshoers and the ice climbers. The ice climbers say the ice, just a mile down the road, is one of the best in the Midwest USA.
