Pelican Inn Information

Description

Located on the "arrogantly shabby" Pawleys Island, the Pelican Inn is a charming bed and breakfast built in the 1840s. All guestrooms are air-conditioned, there is direct beach access, and a private dock over the salt marsh perfect for watching sunsets and throwing out crab traps. While the island is very quiet, there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The summer season brings sea turtle nests on the beach and there is ample opportunity for kayaking, paddle boards and exploring nature. This inn is made for old school family vacations.

Our guests are like family. Our small experienced staff is always on site to attend to your needs and you will see the same friendly faces year after year.

The inn is a national historic property and has not been altered to be ADA accessible. All guest rooms are on the second floor and stairs over the dunes access to the beach.

    Pawleys Island is just across the marsh from Hwy 17. It is 24 miles south of the Myrtle Beach airport or 70 miles north of the Charleston airport.
