Port City Victorian Inn Information

Description

Today, this beautiful 146-year-old, Five-Bedroom, Lumber Barron’s home proudly welcomes guests to enjoy its old-world elegance, grace and charm which characterizes this splendid vintage turn-of-the century mansion. Come visit our Four-Time "Award winning" Historic 1877 romantic Victorian getaway, located on the bluffs of Muskegon Lake, Michigan’s largest natural harbor; a sailor’s dream where the sunsets are indescribable with Lake Michigan white sandy beaches only minutes away. The front parlor has large curved and leaded glass windows overlooking Muskegon Lake and Lakeshore Yacht Harbor. The exquisite grand entryway features detailed workmanship evident in the beautifully carved posts and spindles of the all-natural, cross sawn oak stair-case and paneling. Our cozy Fireplace Parlor will bring back memories of yesteryear. As you enter the parlor through the sliding beveled glass doors you will lounge on mid nineteenth century furnishings of the Civil War era. The crackling fire during the winter months will enhance the nostalgia of days gone by as you look at our picture catalog of the first residents of 1877. Business and leisure travelers enter through its doors and immediately feel a sense of home and comfort, every detail is attended to with gracious warmth and hospitality! You may choose from five bedrooms with private baths: one room with Jacuzzi, fireplace, and private balcony; two rooms with two-person double-whirlpools and views of the Lake. Enjoy the open rooftop pergola or relax in the TV/VCR room with a view of the lake. Stroll through two parlors and enjoy reading the history of the Inn or experience the many delightful antiques of the home. Let Chief Barbara, surprise you with one of her tantalizing full breakfast entrees that will keep your appetite well in to the late afternoon hours.
