Queens Arms Information

Description

The single long bar has an open fireplace at one end, a stove at the other, and a games room around the corner. There is a separate restaurant, and outside tables include a few across the lane in an enclosed garden and safe play area. Entertainment consists of occasional live music. The pub also stages local charity events including Thursday night quizzes. Caravans, tents etc. are welcome in the adjacent field.

Directions

  • Road from Helston Bus Station (2.9 miles)
    Head west on Coinagehall St toward Lady St and continue on Almshouse Hill. Take St John's Rd to Penzance Rd/A394. Turn right onto Almshouse Hill, slight right onto St John's Rd and turn left onto Penhellaz Hill. Keep driving for about 2.5 miles, turn right onto Penzance Rd/A394and continue to follow A394, slight right at Gipsy Lnthen slight left and continue onto Sethnoe Way. Turn left and The Queens Arms will be on the right.
  • Train from Penzance railway station (9.9 miles)
    Take Chyandour Cliff to Eastern Green/A30, head northeast on Chyandour Cliff toward Penrose Terrace and continue onto Eastern Green. Take A394 to Shute Hill, at the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Eastern Green, at the next one take the 2nd exit and stay on Eastern Green and at the third roundabout take the 2nd exit onto A30. Then at Newtown Roundabout, take the 2nd exit and at the next one take the 2nd and keep driving until you can turn left onto Shute Hill, then turn left there we are.
