Sue & Peter welcome you to the Ravenswood, centrally located only 5 minutes from Torquay Harbour with its abundance of restaurants bars and eateries & the town centre for shopping. A perfect place to rest and relax and yet be within a short stroll of the attractions. Our accommodation is comfortable, cosy and each room is individually decorated to provide a perfect base for your break. We pride ourselves on our friendly service. For the best start to your day you can help yourself to the buffet and then order our freshly cooked breakfast of your choice in our bright modern breakfast room with views across Torwood Gardens. The location of The Ravenswood is superb, being adjacent to Torquay Museum and on the Agatha Christie Mile. A short walk of 300 metres takes you to the harbour, with its boats, restaurants and Pavilion, or to the central shopping area in Fleet Street and Torquay's nightlife and theatre. Torquay's blue flag award beaches are but a short walk away, and for the energetic, the South-West Coast Path is a great place to walk and take in the scenery. Relax in our rooms, which are inviting and comfortable. All our rooms have an en-suite shower room. The front facing rooms have beautiful views of Torwood Gardens. Rooms contain LCD flat screen TVs with Freeview, and there is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. Complimentary beverage trays are in all rooms with quality products for you to enjoy. Breakfast is served in the airy breakfast room so you can enjoy views over Torwood Gardens. We serve our Ravenswood Breakfast and lighter bites freshly cooked to order and guests are also free to help themselves from our breakfast buffet which has a choice of branded cereals, fruit juices, bread, toast, jams, marmalade and honey. Accessibility

Ravenswood is situated on the edge of the town centre, up a hill with a gradient of more than 1:20. The front entrance is accessed by steps from Babbacombe Road which are well lit at night. Access is also available via the rear conservatory door, there is a high step down onto landing between ground and first floor. All bedrooms are located on the first and second floors, the dining room is on the ground floor. No lift is available. The stairs have handrails and are well lit at all times.

Directions

  • Road from Exeter Airport (26.5 miles)
    Join the A38 turn off for Torquay follow all way to seafront turn left at the traffic lights on the sea front then follow that road round to the harbour past the shops, you will see a mini roundabout with a clock tower in the middle turn left and proceed up the hill 300metres we are on the left with Black and Silver signs saying RAVENSWOOD. Turn left at museum round and pull up at the back of the property to unload and then we will give you a pass to our private car park approx. 50m away
