Rhiwddu Farmhouse is a truly stunning property and is perfect for anyone wanting a country cottage break. The Farmhouse originally dates back to the 16th Century, and evidence of its grand old age can still be seen in the beautiful inglenook fireplace in the lounge with the perfectly round bread oven alongside it. There is something almost medieval about its look! In this fireplace you will find a log burner, with ample logs in the store outside to keep you warm and toasty on those cold winter nights. The Farmhouse is separate from the barns at Rhiwddu and has its own private, fenced garden as well as a fully fenced dog run. The garden has its own private rickety little gate which takes you directly onto the mountain. The views from the Farmhouse are truly breath taking. You will look out onto the unspoilt Towy Valley, over hundreds of acres of farmland with the stunning escarpments of Llyn Y Fan towering away in the distance. The Farmhouse has a kitchen diner with double doors looking out onto the Towy Valley. It has an electric cooker, hob, and also an oil fired range cooker, very similar to an Aga. There is a large American style fridge freezer, a dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is also an array of cutlery, crockery, pots and pans. The pretty farmhouse table seats six, and there is also a large picnic table outside in the garden for you to enjoy your meals and BBQ’s in the beautifully fresh and crisp mountain air. There are two very comfortable leather sofas in the living room, together with foot stools, set around the stunning fireplace. There is a very large flat screen TV with DVD player, and a sound system. The Farmhouse has four bedrooms. Downstairs there is a peaceful and relaxing king size bedroom with an en suite bathroom and flatscreen TV. Upstairs is a comfortable double bedroom, two single rooms and a bathroom. The Farmhouse has a laundry area and an office with a desk. Well behaved pets are welcome.

Beacons Barn, our very own converted cowshed is truly beautiful and has been awarded a 5* rating. You can really feel the origins of the original barn in Beacons, with its exposed stone walls, and original and very worn slate step leading from the kitchen into the living room. Beacons has been finished to the highest of standards with slate and oak flooring and underfloor heating throughout and even a Jacuzzi bath. From this barn you have superb views over the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains. You will wake up to the sound of birdsong and quite possibly the gentle rustling of the mountain breeze. It is the perfect spot for a family getaway. Beacons has a large kitchen diner with French doors leading onto your own private patio, looking directly out onto the Black Mountains. It has a beautiful oak kitchen with a large fridge freezer, a large double oven range cooker with gas hob, a dishwasher, kettle, toaster, microwave, washing machine and tumble drier. The beautiful old dining table in this property comfortably seats up to 8 people with room to add in a couple more if you like. Beacons has three bathrooms. There is a downstairs toilet and shower, and upstairs you have an en suite in one of the main bedrooms with a further shower, and a beautifully finished main bathroom with his and hers sinks and a Jacuzzi bath. Beacons has four bedrooms. Two large rooms with super king beds, one double bedroom and one single bedroom. In addition to this, one of the sofas in the living room also doubles as a sofa bed. All of the bedrooms have beautiful traditional Welsh cushions and throws which we have sourced from a local woollen mill. The living room in Beacons is large and spacious. There are two large sofas, a chair, a flat screen TV with DVD player and also a music system. There are lovely oak double doors leading from this room onto the patio too. A hairdryer, towels, bedding pots and pans are all provided for you in Beacons.

Adventurers Abode, the smallest of our three barns, is full of romantic and rustic charm. You can bathe in the roll top bath, set alongside your double bed, with its traditional welsh blanket cushions and throws, or relax on the leather settee whist chilling out in front of your favourite movies. The Barn is less than a minutes walk away from the Black Mountains, with its trickling streams and a vast array of wildlife. Rhiwddu is also in a dark sky area so be sure to look up at the stars as they really are spectacular here. You will certainly have plenty to do! Adventures Abode sleeps two people. It has a fully equipped kitchen diner which overlooks the farmyard, and a downstairs bathroom and shower. The marble and oak floors within this cottage will keep you warm and cosy with their underfloor heating and it comes with free, unlimited WiFi. Enjoy a romantic meal whilst looking out onto the farm yard and mountain beyond, or take breakfast at the picnic table alongside the cottage which looks out onto the most stunning view of the black mountains, and the Towy Valley with the mythological and often snow capped (escarpments) of Llyn Y Fan towering away in the background. This is a perfect cottage for a quiet getaway. Adventurers has a cooker and hob, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is an array of crockery, cutlery, pots and pans and an iron and hairdryer. There is a flat screen TV and DVD player. All bedding and towels are provided. Well behaved dogs are welcome.
