Rook Lane House Information


Rook Lane House is a smart new adult only bed and breakfast in the heart of Frome. This historic and characterful house was built in 1604. It offers three beautiful, newly decorated rooms. Each room has an en suite bathroom, comfy beds, quality bedding, luxury toiletries, WiFi, and large flat-screen TVs. Including Sky Sports and BT Sports. Breakfast is included. We provide a generous breakfast menu offering locally-sourced and freshly cooked food to order. Catering for all dietary requirements. Free private off-street parking is available for all guests (something of a rarity in Frome). Rook Lane House, Frome, is situated in an ideal location for visitors, it’s a short walk from all of the theatres, art galleries, restaurants and pubs in the centre of town. Frome is renowned for its Independent Market, held on the first Sunday of the month that showcases the talents of local artists, craft-folk and makers of all kinds.   • Train from Frome Train Station (0.6 miles)
    Approx 14 minute walk from Frome Train Station. Out of the station turn left onto the A362 (Portway). Cross over the road and continue straight along on the A362 until you reach the Corner House Pub on the mini roundabout. You will then see Allsop Carpets and Flooring straight over the mini roundabout on Christchurch Street West. Cross over onto Christchurch Street West. We are the house next door, with the red pillar box right outside the gates. You have arrived, welcome!
  • Road from A303 London/South East (10.0 miles)
    On the A303 take the A36 towards Warminster. At Warminster take A362 to Frome. At Longleat roundabout take third exit stay on A362 for approx 7 miles then turn right take Warminster Road into Frome. At roundabout take second exit and stay on Warminster Road. Continue through three sets of lights until you come to a mini-roundabout here take first exit onto Christchurch Street East. When you reach the T-junction turn right (downhill) 50 yards you reach a small roundabout.Take first exit to RLH.
  • Road from M4 Bath/North (15.0 miles)
    Off M4 at J18 follow A46 to Bath. At Bath take A4 to Bath/A36. On A36 into Bath (London Road) left at end to A36. Approx 10 miles to first roundabout take second exit continue on A36. Second roundabout take third exit onto A361. Second exit of third roundabout to Frome (B3090). After two miles right turn. Downhill into town then uphill out of town. At top of hill (Bath Road) roundabout second exit onto Christchurch St West to A362. RLH is about 40 yards from the roundabout on the right.
