Description
A grade one listed timbered black and white lodge set in the beautiful grounds of Samlesbury Hall offers the highest quality in accommodation, The furniture and furnishings reflect the style and character one expects of a house in such beautiful surroundings. The lounge is tastefully laid out with TV, and sofa bed. The main bedroom has a fantastic sleigh bed with matching furniture and the best quality linens, the second bedroom/vanity/office has another double sofa bed with a refridgerator, tea and coffee making facilities, full length mirrors and matching soft furnishings. The delightful bathroom is styled in the black and white true colours of Samlesbury with a roll top bath, a separate shower big enough for two, all finished off with stylish chrome fitments. Bathrobes are supplied for your use and all is geared for a delightful stay here at Samlesbury. All on the ground floor allowing full wheelchair access. Any guest may of course visit the Hall free of charge and have lunch or afternoon tea in our highest quality award winning restaurant, or just sit back and watch the world go by with a latte or even a glass of Samlesbury's finest wine from our fully stocked bar. See the ever changing Galleries with lots of high quality local art for sale, browse the antiques for sale, or call in the shop for that little memento! Enjoy the history, the ghosts and witches, stroll around the well kept grounds in summer, sit by the fountain or curl up in front of the log burning fires in winter. If you have children visit our small animal centre, with pigs, goats, sheep, hens, rabbits and guinea pigs Just 2 minutes drive from Juction 31 of the M6, a perfect stop off on the way to the Lakes, almost in the centre of Great Britain, the Lodge is accessible from and to all directions. Just 40 minutes from Manchester and Liverpool, 30 minutes from Blackpool and a short 20 minutes from Blackburn and Preston, yet set in rural surroundings that take you back in time.
