Seashells B&B Information

Description

Seashells Bed & Breakfast is the home of Eric & Dympna who run a friendly, welcoming bed & breakfast and are always willing to chat, share their local knowledge or help plan holiday itineraries. The house itself is a striking 3 story modern building with large picture windows taking full advantage of this spectacular location. It is situated in the very pretty fishing village of Duncannon, directly overlooking the beautiful beach and enjoying panoramic views of Waterford harbour and the surrounding Hook Penninsula. Duncannon is a charming village an ideal place to holiday and relax for a few days. Everything you need is in walking distance….traditional pubs serving excellent fresh seafood, award winning restaurants, beautiful sandy beaches, amazing historic landmarks and endless beautiful scenery. Seashells offers the perfect base for your holiday in the Sunny South East of Ireland. The 3 beautifully appointed bedrooms are all on the first floor, as are the lounge and breakfast area. The bedrooms are bright, spacious, en-suite rooms with large windows and lots of natural sunlight. They are simply decorated with timber floors and cream furnishings giving a fresh clean feel to the house. Our guest rooms are splendidly complemented by the beautiful lounge area which has a wall of glass looking directly out onto Duncannon beach and the surrounding coastline, with the Hook Lighthouse visible on the horizon. This is where evenings are spent watching local fishing boats and passing ships, or simply relaxing, enjoying the evening sunset and listening to the calming sounds of the sea. This room has a well stocked hospitality tray, help yourself to hot drinks and sweet treats, and also there is a TV for the occasional catch up or news update.

Hi everyone, we are your friendly hosts.....Eric and Dympna. We live in a stunning location and have shared our beachfront home with guests for the past few years. We enjoy meeting and chatting to people and are as happy doing it today as we were that very first day.... Eric was a hard working fisherman for years and Dympna ran the guest house but as time and work changed so did we.....now Eric does the day to day running of the guest house and Dympna who has returned to work as a nurse manages the internet side of things and reservations. We are both chatty and friendly so it's not a chore to spend time with our guests....in fact nothing is too much trouble when you are staying with us...if we can help we will.....just ask.
