Description
Welcome to Ach na Sheen Guest house, Tipperary Town, Ireland. Tipperary Town, in the heart of the Golden Vale, makes Ach na Sheen an ideal base from which to explore Tipperary's histories and many attractions. These include Holycross Abbey, Farney and Cahir Castles and the Rock of Cashel, the Swiss Cottage and the Glen of Aherlow. Take day trips to the medieval city of Kilkenny or Waterford city, famous for it’s crystal, or head west to Adare Village, Bunratty Castle & Folk Park, the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren. Ach na Sheen is located on the outskirts of Tipperary town centre. Local amenities in Tipperary town include the Excel Centre with a Genealogy centre, a theatre and cinema complex, as well as a top of the range sports & leisure centre with an adjacent 25 metre pool. We have 3 golf clubs in the vicinity, with great value green fees. The nearby Galtee mountains and the Glen of Aherlow have endless treks and walks catering for everyone, from the novice to the experienced walker. Limerick Junction, 3 miles away, has a world renowned racetrack, with race meetings at least once a month. Something for everyone when you stay at Ach na Sheen. It’s not a long way to Tipperary.
With a reputation built on warm hospitality, Ach na Sheen has been opening it’s doors to tourists and travellers since 1968. Maura and John opened Ach na Sheen in July 1968 with one child and another on the way. Almost 50 years later mum is still involved in the day to day running of the house. We still have visitors coming that remember me as a child ? The house is now in the hands of the next generation. With a family of my own, ‘family‘ in ‘family run‘ is very important to me. Giving my guests a great experience is a priority in my day. Ach na Sheen is the ideal spot for a real Irish welcome, I look forward to your visit
