Sidney House, a unique 4* B&B, built in 1820 and a Grade II listed building, stands in a superb elevated position in the heart of Great Malvern town with glorious views over the Severn Valley towards the Vale of Evesham and the Cotswolds. Sidney House has 5 individually decorated ensuite rooms which include; Free Wi-Fi - Flat Screen TV, Hospitality Tray, Hairdryer & Complimentary Toiletries. There is off road parking available for every room. Our room rate includes both Continental and a locally sourced cooked to order breakfast including Full English and lighter options. We are a short walk from The Malvern Festival Theatre, Victorian Winter Gardens and Priory Park. Sidney House stands opposite a main route up to the Malvern Hills which rise steeply from the Severn Valley. The hills are renowned as providing some of the greatest walks in the UK with beautiful scenery all the way up. Local attractions include the Three Counties Show, the Three Choirs Festival held at Worcester, Hereford or Gloucester in September and the famous Malvern Festival associated with Shaw and Elgar whose birthplace is near Malvern.

  • Train from Great Malvern Train Station (0.8 miles)
    Great Malvern Station is situated on the Intercity Rail Network between London Paddington and Hereford. The station is situated just off Avenue Road. Exit the station and on entering Avenue Road turn left and head up the road. At then end of the road you will meet the junction with Church St. Take a left up church street. At the top of the road where it meets Belle Vue Terrace turn right and head along Worcester Road until you reach number 40, on the right just past the Buddhist Temple.
  • Road from M5 from the North (19.0 miles)
    Exit at junction 7 and take the A449 towards Great Malvern. After passing the fire station and Malvern Link railway station on your right, continue up the hill along the Worcester Rd. At the traffic lights at the top of the hill continue straight on. Sidney House is further along up the hill on the left hand side.
  • Road from M5 from the South (17.5 miles)
    Exit at junction 8 and take the M50 to junction 1. Take the A38 towards The Malverns and then turn left onto the A4104. On entering Upton Upon Severn and crossing the bridge over the river, turn right onto the B4211 towards Malvern. After approximately 3 miles turn left and continue on the B4211 towards The Malverns. At the kidney shaped roundabout take the third exit continuing along the B4211. At the top of the high street take a right hand turn onto Worcester RD, we are on the right, no.40
