The Stonehenge Inn and Carvery Information
Description
One of the closest inns to the World Heritage Site of Stonehenge, the Stonehenge Inn offers a bar, restaurant and fantastic enclosed courtyard complete with kids play area. Located next to Durrington walls, and the new so-called Mega Stonehenge, the property is surrounded by ancient history. The inn is modern, airy and offers free Wi-Fi access throughout. There are 6 en suite letting rooms available. This family-run gem is ideally located to explore this fascinating area. The inn is only a few minutes' drive from Stonehenge world-famous monument and Visitor Centre. The cathedral city of Salisbury is close by. The Neolithic monument of Woodhenge is 550 yards away. The property is just a mile off the A303 road and by-passes the regular traffic jams on the A303 adjacent to Stonehenge as it is on the local route to the visitor centre. The rooms at Stonehenge Inn will provide you with a flat-screen TV. Featuring a shower, the private en suites also come with towels and complimentary shampoo and shower gel. The rooms feature tea/coffee making facilities. There are 4 family rooms, a double room and two single rooms. The restaurant is a lovely airy space with a 7 day a week carvery, an a la carte menu and a separate vegetarian menu. With delicious desserts, and a great choice of drinks, the restaurant is popular with locals and people travelling quite a distance to sample our fare. Our bar includes BT Sports/Sky Sports. The first Thursday in the month brings a popular Open Mic night. The bar has a friendly, inclusive atmosphere and everyone is made very welcome. As the inn is in a rural area, dogs are very welcome too. There is a wide range of drinks including well-kept ales. In summary, the inn is a great base to explore from, friendly and hospitable, with great value food and a lovely ambience.
