The Crocker House Country Inn Information

Description

Nestled among the pines on Hancock Point, the Crocker House Country Inn is the sole survivor from the days in which the Bar Harbor Express carried passengers to Hancock so that they could then board a Maine Central Railroad Ferry to Bar Harbor. The Inns' quiet, out of the way location, fine cuisine, and individually appointed guest rooms, each with a private bath, all combine to make the Crocker House a refreshing and memorable experience. While a full country style breakfast is served to each of our guests every morning from 7:45 to 10:00 am, our dining room is open to the public. Selections from our menu are prepared to order including garden fresh vegetables. Breads and desserts are homemade daily and a fully stocked bar is available as is a wine and beer list. Hancock Point is a small summer community where guests can experience a style of life reminiscent of years gone by. The Inn is within easy walking distance of our octagonal library, four clay tennis courts, a 100+ year old summer chapel, and of course Frenchman Bay. Bordered by Frenchman Bay on the south and east and the Skillings River to the west, Hancock Point is small enough so that all roads lead to the water. Moorings are available for guests who arrive by sea. The Crocker House is conveniently located for guests to take advantage of the sightseeing opportunities in Acadia National Park and Hancock County. By car we are equidistant from both Schoodic Point and Cadillac Mountain. Potters, weavers and woodworkers are found throughout the area. Antiquing opportunities, like lobster pounds abound. In addition, Campobello and the Canadian border are but a 2 hour drive. We will gladly provide you with maps, directions and dining recommendations to complement your stay at the Crocker House. We invite you to be our guest at the Crocker House for a relaxing and refreshing vacation at a real Country Inn; we are a little out of the way and way out of the ordinary!

Its cozy, with a warm and welcoming staff. We are close enough to all the adventures our area has to offer, without being in the busy towns. We love welcoming guests to stay at our lovely country inn. We are under renovations. We do serve dinner and ask that you make a reservation when booking :)
